Medication for depression

a little advise if possible.. i do suffer on and off from depression and am at present engaging in a warfare to overcome these problems, as unfortunately i have become bogged down with negativity again.. have any of you here used medication prescribed by your gp and if so, was it effective for you?

also, did you suffer any side effects from the use of the medication?.

i am interested as my gp has offered to put me on a course of anti-depressants, but to say i am fearful, is to understate how i feel about the use of prescribed drugs.

that latest insert is an insult to freedom of speech between humans.. proverbs 12:11. gideon - holy bible.

he who works his land will have abundant food, but he who chases fantasies lacks judgement.. now apply that to mindless jws who follow every law that the faithful & discreet slave issue.

rules that have morphed and changed shape through the years, rules that could be described as fantasy ( collins dictionary: imagination or fancy; esp., wild, visionary fancy ).. are they suggesting that their own flock lack judgement ?

just a quickie, as far as the date - 1975 - is concerned, was there ever a printed document through the wts that stated that this year would be the absolute final date for the big a ?.

or was it just rumours amongst the brothers ?.

just interested (sorry if this has been mentioned 1000 times before, but i'm new here you see & all that).. .

i am a person who can get very wound up when simply moving through the city i live in and today was no exception ... grrrrr ... things that annoy me about other peoples behaviour:

i suppose this is a tale of how badly a set of extreme beliefs can effect the mind!.

i knew of a brother who suffered with mental ill health and often had hallucinations, of the visual variety.

after a while during his passage through the truth he began to see strange demons in unusual places.
